Zylkene is designed to support dogs and cats during exciting times. This may be when they need to get used to a new environment or people, during a move or fireworks scare. Zylkene contains alpha-casozepine and this is extracted from milk protein.
What is Zylkene?
Zylkene is a supplement and helps your pet relax. It does not sedate and is 100% natural. It can therefore be used safely, even over long periods of time. If your pet finds it difficult to cope with exciting situations, Zylkene is the appropriate supplement.
Zylkene with fireworks
Fireworks are one of those exciting situations. In this case, it is wise to start Zylkene a few days before New Year's Eve. It's also okay to give a higher dosage for the desired effect.
Persistent behavioral problems

Directions for use of Zylkene capsules
Zylkene is hypoallergenic, preservative-free and lactose-free. It should be administered orally (supplemental animal feed). Zylkene consists of a capsule containing a flavorful, water-soluble powder. The capsule can be administered whole. However, it is preferable to open the capsule and mix the contents with the food or snack.
If necessary, Zylkene may be given in a double dose.
Usage
Short term.
(For example, visits to the veterinarian, travel, stay in animal boarding):
Give Zylkene 1 to 2 days in advance
Repeat several hours before the distressing event or change in habitat
In some cases it is better to start Zylkene 5 to 7 days prior to the new situation
Long-term use
For example, being home alone, living with other animals, remodeling):
You can expect the effect, depending on the indication, after 1 to 2 weeks
Re-evaluate your pet after 1 month
For best results, Zylkene should be given for 1 to 2 months.
