The Canishield collar contains deltamethrin as the active ingredient. When parasites such as ticks and fleas come into contact with this active substance they die. The effect is non-systemic, meaning that the active ingredient does not enter the dog's bloodstream. Deltamethrin is gradually released from the collar and appears as a protective film layer over the entire dog.
Canishield for small and medium dogs has a length of 48 cm. Suitable for dogs from 7 weeks. Also available in a variant for large dogs. Do not use on cats.
Directions for use
Do not remove the collar from the protective sachet until just before application. Attach the collar around the animal's neck not too loose and not too tight: keep two flat fingers of space between the collar and the dog's neck. Cut off the excess part of the strap (approx. 5cm beyond the buckle). Check regularly that the strap is not too tight or too loose and adjust the length if necessary by squeezing the buckle and sliding the strap into the correct position.
Do not use in dogs with skin lesions, dogs with a known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients. Do not use on cats; deltamethrin is harmful to cats.
